At Cornerstone we passionately acknowledge that God’s mission for the church extends beyond our four walls to the four corners of the earth. God wants every man, woman, and child everywhere to have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship with Him. That is the reason why Cornerstone supports several missionary ministries prayerfully, financially, and through practical, “hands-on” service and involvement.
ChristWay Ministries is dedicated to training and assisting the local church. ChristWay Ministries seeks to be a resource of Encouragement, Instruction, Challenge, and Counsel to local churches, pastors, and Lay leaders to help them grow their church and bear “much fruit” for the glory of God. (John 15:5, 8) This is accomplished by encouraging and assisting in necessary changes in spiritual health, outreach evangelism, relevant ministry paradigms and the development of strong godly leadership. The goal of ChristWay is to build dynamic, growing churches Christ's way to the glory of God, and to be a premier ministry of exposition (Scriptures), education (professional), consultation, exhortation, and friendship to a growing number of pastors and churches, resulting in a fuller experience of the purposes of the New Testament church in dynamic growth. Don Sunshine travels the United States sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and providing outreach training to hundreds of churches and thousands of Christ-followers each year. To date, more than 14,000 Christians have been trained to share the message of Christ more effectively, and more than 800 people have been come to know Christ as their Savior. The mission of Good News Jail & Prison Ministry is to provide spiritually mature, equipped, motivated men and women to serve as Christian Chaplains in correctional facilities both nationally and internationally. Good News specializes in placing full-time Christian Chaplains in jails & prisons to provide a pastoral presence and to lead in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those who are behind bars. Good News Chaplains oversee and coordinate numerous ministry volunteers who help spread the good news of Jesus Christ as well. Our Pastor, Pastor Alex, is a Chaplain with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry and currently serves as the Chaplain for the Niagara County Jail in Lockport, New York in addition to his ministry here at Cornerstone. Cornerstone is currently in partnership with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry for the purpose of reaching men and women – both staff and inmates – in jail for Jesus Christ. Heart of God Haiti is part of Heart of God International Ministries. Through a church, a school, an orphanage, and a mentorship and training program, Heart of God Haiti touches the lives of Haitians with the good news of Jesus Christ. Their mission is to create and maintain a safe sanctuary for children that will provide for their physical, spiritual, educational and emotional care so that they will become responsible Christians and productive citizens of Haiti. Cornerstone is currently in partnership with Heart of God Haiti for the purpose of reaching Haitians for Christ through this important ministry.
