Who We Are
Cornerstone Church is a congregation of passionate Christ-followers with one purpose: bring glory to God. Our story began in June 2000, but it is still being written as God continues to change lives through our church. You are invited to join us for the next chapter!
Our Gatherings
Our worship gathering begins each week on Sunday evenings at 5:30pm. We seek to lead people further into a life-altering relationship with the living God. The authority of God’s Word is preached without apology and Jesus Christ is exalted with gratitude and adoration. Pastor Alex True regularly preaches. When Pastor Alex is out of the pulpit, preaching is supplied by one of our elders or by a qualified guest preacher. Each week the message is captured on audio and is available on our website. Coffee and refreshments are provided at our refreshment bar in the lobby and are available free of charge before, during, and after the service. Our worship gathering usually lasts 60-75 minutes. You are welcome to stay as long as you like afterwards to hang-out, and get to know people. Pastor Alex and other ministry leaders are available after the service for those who desire to speak with them.
Our Groups
In addition to our weekly worship gatherings, we also have a variety of different Connection Groups that provide additional opportunities for fellowship, growth, service, and fun. Our Connection Groups meet on different days, at different times, and for different activities throughout the week. Our group gatherings always feature a time of teaching from God’s Word, an opportunity for discussion, and a time of prayer for one another as well. Cornerstone’s Connection Groups are a great way to get to know one another, grow stronger in your faith, and get active in your faith.
Our History
Cornerstone Church started in the mind of God and in the heart of Pastor Alex True. In June 2000, Alex and his wife Sarah launched Cornerstone Church with just 4 other people. After much praying and planning, they rented a small conference room on the campus of the State University of New York College at Brockport. God truly blessed as 17 new people attended the first worship gathering on Sunday, June 11, 2000, and 3 of those people made a profession of faith and invited Jesus Christ into their lives! Since that time the LORD God has done amazing things in our midst, through this church, for His glory!
Our Mission
The mission of Cornerstone Church is to love God, love others, and lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This is the heart and the driving focus of everything we do at Cornerstone Church.
